UIA woos Ugandan investors

The Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), has embarked on a campaign that will attract Ugandans in the Diaspora to invest back here to boost the country’s economic growth. As part of efforts to enforce development, UIA in collaboration with the private sector is organising a Diaspora investment summit under the theme “Back to my roots- Uganda my home 2”.

Slated for December 27, the three-day summit will unveil Uganda’s investment opportunities, challenges and the role Ugandans in the Diaspora should play in investing home plus enticing the international business community to invest in Uganda.

MTN Kampala Marathon - World Anti-Doping officials to test for drugs

OFFICIALS from the World Anti-Doping Agency will be in the country to test for banned substances during the fifth edition of the MTN Kampala International Marathon.

National athletics federation official Faustin Kiwa yesterday confirmed that they had successful talks with the officials, who will be in the country days to the annual MTN Kampala International Marathon that is set for November 23. Registration for the marathon will end next Friday.
