500 to attend honey trade exposition in Uganda
Uganda is to host the first honey trade show in Africa, the trade state minister has said.
Gagawala Wambuzi told journalists at the Media Centre in Kampala on Friday that the exposition would bring together over 500 delegates involved in bee products and technologies, researchers, exporters and importers and policy makers.
The event will take place at Hotel Africana from October 22 to 25.
The fair, Gagawala said, would create networks among cross-border actors, disseminate market information within the region, as well as stimulate linkage between producers, the private sector and service providers.
Delegates from Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda and Zimbabwe are expected to attend the honey fair.
